Skipr

Mobility & CommutingScope 3

Skipr is a Brussels-based corporate mobility platform. Employers run mobility budgets, commuting allowances and business travel from one place, and employees choose and pay for greener ways to get to work with an app and a Mastercard mobility card.

About Skipr

Skipr SA is a Brussels company with one mission: help companies shift to smart mobility, so everyone can get around in a flexible and sustainable way. In June 2020 it raised €7 million to develop its app and expand to France; its investors include Belfius, D'Ieteren and Lab Box. Skipr now works with employers in Belgium and France such as Luminus, Elia, Carrefour Belgium, L'Oréal, Lantis, Wavestone, Alten and Alan. The offer combines a management platform, a mobile app in English, French and Dutch, and a Mastercard debit card for mobility, and Skipr is registered with the French regulator ACPR as a payment services agent of the e-money institution Treezor. With Deloitte, it offers advisory packages for companies redesigning their mobility policy, from vision and data analysis to communication and employee activation. Skipr has also started adding AI agents to its admin tools, beginning with Agent Insights.

Working towards carbon-free commuting while attracting talent

Elia, Belgium's electricity transmission system operator, introduced the mobility budget for two reasons: carbon-free commuting by 2025 and attracting the best talent. With Skipr, Elia offers its employees green and flexible mobility while keeping the workload of the HR department to a minimum, as André Emmanuel Simonart explains in a video testimonial.

LantisPublic infrastructure

A mobility budget for every employee

Lantis, the Antwerp mobility infrastructure company, rolled out a mobility budget with Skipr for all its employees. Staff can switch to a greener car, spend the rest on sustainable mobility such as an (e-)bike, trains, buses, trams and shared bikes, cars or scooters, and receive the unused amount as cash at the end of the year. Skipr handles the admin and integrates directly with the social secretariat, so employees get the choice without extra work for HR.

  • Mobility budget for all employees
  • Greener car park and more sustainable modes
  • Direct integration with the social secretariat

WavestoneConsulting

Rewriting the mobility policy of a consulting office

In 2021, the traditional way of commuting no longer worked for the Belgian office of Wavestone: it was neither practical nor sustainable. The firm had to change its mobility policy while keeping employees happy through optimised salary packages. It rewrote the policy with Skipr and now gives employees a flexible, sustainable alternative, with the aim of having them use alternative transport as much as possible.

  • New mobility policy in place
  • Optimised salary packages
  • Employees encouraged to use alternative transport
