Taking Climate Action

Vinçotte validated · CO2logic approved

what you walk out with

The Taking Climate Action label, issued by CO2logic

At the end of the cohort your company receives the label — validated by Vinçotte — to use on your website, in tenders, in bank ESG screening and in large-client questionnaires. It rests on three commitments:

Calculate

We calculate our full carbon footprint to manage our total impact across the entire value chain.

Reduce

We implement science-aligned reduction strategies to lower our direct and value-chain emissions.

Contribute

We help fund climate projects matching our estimated impact to accelerate the global climate transition.

The label is issued for one year and renewed with an updated footprint at the end of each cohort.

A small SME cohort working through their reduction plan with a tapio expert

Cohort, not classroom

Small groups, real cases, no slide decks.

Each cohort runs with 6–10 SMEs from different sectors. You bring your own data and walk out with your own carbon report — but the workshops in between let you compare reduction levers, share supplier feedback and benchmark with peers facing the same CSRD-driven questions.

FAQ

Questions SMEs ask before applying

Who is eligible?

Brussels-based SMEs with fewer than 250 employees, operating in the Brussels-Capital Region. Service, manufacturing, retail — all sectors welcome.

How does the subsidy refund work?

You pay the €6,000 upfront, tapio guides the subsidy application, and Brussels reimburses you based on eligibility. Year 2+ with the Taking Climate Action label unlocks a higher tier.

What is the Taking Climate Action label?

A certification delivered when you complete the three steps: calculate, reduce, contribute. Recognized in tenders, ESG bank screening and large-client procurement questionnaires.

What if I'm not in Brussels?

The program is currently Brussels-only due to the subsidy scheme. For SMEs elsewhere, tapio offers the same methodology without the subsidy — ask the team for a quote.
