Energy & BuildingsMobility & CommutingScope 1Scope 2

Powerland designs, installs and runs integrated energy systems for Belgian businesses: solar panels, battery storage, EV charging and energy management, built by its own teams from the grid connection to day-to-day operation.

About Powerland

Powerland is a Belgian technical energy partner based in Poperinge (West Flanders), specialised in EV charging infrastructure, battery storage, solar panels and energy management. It is the energy and charging division of the Vandotec Group, which has built energy infrastructure since 1978, starting with fuel stations and industrial fuel installations. Powerland was launched in 2020 and, since 2023, has delivered integral projects as a general contractor where charging, batteries and solar are designed and steered together. Its own teams cover the whole chain, from civil works and electrical engineering to installation, management and maintenance, with one point of contact and no tie to a single equipment brand. Powerland also operates charging networks through its My.Powerland platform and app. The group claims more than 45 years of experience in energy, over 8,000 customers, more than 2,500 installations and over 6,000 platform users, and Vandotec is VCA** certified.

What Powerland has delivered

Group Van VoorenTesting & environment

One integrator for solar, storage and 42 charging points

The testing and environmental specialist wanted to run its offices, labs and charging on self-produced green energy and to make its fleet fully electric by 2026. At its new Zelzate headquarters, Powerland combined 2,500 solar panels, three liquid-cooled battery cabinets (696 kWh, 315 kW) that store solar surplus instead of exporting it, 40 smart AC points and a 300 kW Alpitronic fast charger open to the public 24/7, a 1,000 kVA medium-voltage cabin and an EMS that balances production, consumption and grid conditions.

Group JonckvansteenTechnical textiles

Industrial battery storage to control energy costs

This family-owned textile manufacturer in Passendale wanted more control over its energy costs and a first step towards energy autonomy. Powerland installed 24 liquid-cooled battery cabinets with smart control that continuously adapts to grid conditions and the site's consumption. The system absorbs load peaks to avoid costly capacity overruns, stores energy when it is cheaper to use it when prices are higher, and eases pressure on the grid.

EutracoLogistics

Fast charging and storage for a 24/7 logistics hub

Eutraco's Willebroek platform runs day and night, so its charging had to cope with demand peaks without slowing operations. Powerland combined high-power DC fast chargers, steered through satellites, with liquid-cooled battery storage, and handled the whole project from analysis and design to civil works, cabling and reinforcing the power supply. The combination helps Eutraco absorb consumption peaks, optimise its energy costs and manage charging efficiently.

Getting a bus depot ready for an electric fleet

One of Flanders' largest independent bus companies needed a single partner to take its Maldegem depot electric, from medium voltage to chargers and the management platform. Powerland first built the electrical base, a new medium-voltage cabin and a low-voltage board with feeders reserved for future chargers, then added a Kempower system that shares its power dynamically across eight DC points, plus eight 22 kW AC points. About 1.4 km of power cable was laid, and every point was configured on the management platform.

From fuel station to fast-charging hub

Tom Ghesquière sold his family's fuel business to move fully into EV charging, a field that was new to him. Powerland guided him from first advice to an operating station near the R32 and E403 in Ardooie: engineering, installation, the subsidy application and a user-friendly charging platform. The site combines DC fast chargers, 22 kW AC points on an e-carpool car park and solar panels on the canopy that supply part of the chargers' electricity.

Voeders DecadtAnimal feed

A public charging site, from groundworks to energy management

In Oostnieuwkerke (Staden), Powerland delivered the whole charging site as a single partner: groundworks, a medium-voltage cabin to secure grid capacity, ETREL AC points for longer stays and three Alpitronic fast chargers for drivers passing through. The site has room and power for buses and trucks, runs on 100% green electricity, and a Powerland EMS steers the whole installation to optimise energy use.

What customers say

“We zochten een partner die ons de weg wees in EV-laden. We vonden een team waar we blind op vertrouwen.”
Tom Ghesquière,Owner, Laadpunt Ghesquière
“Ze verzorgen alles van A tot Z en hebben een team dat de handen uit de mouwen steekt. De projectopvolging werd tot in de puntjes geregeld.”
