CAP Conseil is a Belgian sustainability consultancy, active since 2003. It helps companies and public bodies build their CSR strategy, put it into practice and report on it (GRI, CSRD, VSME), with a pragmatic approach suited to SMEs as well as large groups.
About CAP Conseil
CAP Conseil was founded in 2003 by Serge Debacker and Marie Dhuart, at a time when almost no Belgian consultancy could answer sustainability questions in a practical way. For six years, on its own funds, the firm represented the private sector in the international drafting of ISO 26000. At the end of 2022 it was taken over by Anne-Catherine Trinon, a former CEO of a mid-sized company who works with GRI, B Corp and EcoVadis. Today a core team of five consultants, with backgrounds in industry, engineering, coaching and governance, is supported by a circle of experts. The offer covers sustainability strategy, non-financial reporting (GRI, CSRD, VSME), circular economy, participative governance, organisational resilience and business model change. The firm has ten years of experience as a GRI trainer and runs CAP Academy for professional training. Clients include Colruyt, Elia, SNCB, Infrabel, Besix, Schréder and the Walloon public service (SPW). CAP Conseil is based in Chaumont-Gistoux, 30 minutes from Brussels.

What CAP Conseil has delivered
MithraPharmaceuticals
From ESG diagnosis to structured reporting
Mithra asked CAP Conseil to define its ESG strategy. Starting from a diagnosis and an SDG assessment, the team built the strategy up to an action plan, set up a non-financial reporting system and coached Mithra's team to communicate in a structured and credible way.
A human rights due diligence system for purchasing
Colruyt's purchasing department asked CAP Conseil to help design a human rights due diligence system. The work identified the risks linked to certain product and supplier categories, listed the measures already in place and made recommendations to align with the UN and OECD frameworks.

For its GRI report, Elia entrusted CAP Conseil with organising and following up the consultation of external stakeholders, and with building the materiality matrix that sets the report's priorities.
CAP Conseil set up SNCB's complete CSR policy: positioning against similar organisations, definition of strategic axes, and themed working groups to write the action plans. The mission also included GRI training and the preparation of a first annual report inspired by GRI.
Corialis, a private group active in aluminium profiles, published its first report under the GRI standards with CAP Conseil. Stakeholders were consulted close to the group's plants in Poland, the UK, France and Belgium.
For the SPW, CAP Conseil gathered measures to help Walloon companies implement the Sustainable Development Goals: it filtered the most relevant SDG targets, researched 34 illustrative company cases through interviews and fact sheets, and built a dedicated website for the Walloon business federation (UWE).
