Its eco-driving programme connects to vehicles through manufacturer data, with no box to install, and combines driver coaching, monthly challenges and Qualiopi-certified training.
About WeNow
WeNow is a French company founded in 2014 and based in Rueil-Malmaison. Its purpose is to fuel people's enthusiasm to act for the climate, using game mechanics and positive psychology rather than guilt. Since 2014 it has collected driving data on 578 million kilometres, and today it serves company fleets with three families of solutions: the connected eco-driving and safety programme, mobility training (eco-driving, road safety, electric vehicles) from its Qualiopi-certified training body, and a digital PRO/PERSO logbook used in France for company car benefit reporting. It also measures real fleet CO₂ data for carbon footprints and CSRD reporting. WeNow has been a certified B Corp since 2017, with its third renewal in July 2025, and a French 'société à mission' since 2021. It has been a UN partner on the decarbonisation of mobility since 2018. From a pilot to a mandatory programme on 800 vehicles
Eiffage Rail started with a WeNow pilot in 2022, extended it in 2023 and 2024 as the data came in, and made it mandatory across 800 vehicles in 2025. Every month, managers see their teams' data, with collective and individual rankings and trends, and each driver sees their own trips and progress. Consumption fell month after month over three years, and safety improved through the same behavioural levers.
Like all of Vinci, the company aims to cut scopes 1 and 2 by 40% by 2030 compared with 2018, and its 90% combustion-engine fleet was its largest emission source. Electrifying takes time, so it looked for something immediate and launched the WeNow eco-driving programme. Its energy manager shares each driver's ranking every month and personalises WeNow's monthly email to thank the best performers. Involving every level of management, the company says, is what made it work.
Fewer at-fault accidents and less fuel on a 500-vehicle fleet
The construction group Charier ran the WeNow programme on its fleet of 500 light vehicles. Its chairman of the management board announced the fuel result in February 2020, and the group also recorded a sharp drop in at-fault accidents between 2017 and 2020.
Lower consumption, fewer high speeds and a leaner fleet
Suez Consulting measured a drop in litres per 100 km over 2020 with WeNow. The data also showed that about 5% of its fleet was surplus. Between January and June 2023, the number of kilometres driven at high speed was halved.
