About WELGO
WELGO's mission is to make the longtail cargo bike accessible to families as an alternative to the car, and to public transport, for trips under 5 km. Co-founder Nicolas Deparis built the service around one idea: for a fixed monthly amount, members always have a bike in good working order. The range covers longtails, mid-tails and front-loaders from brands such as Tern, Urban Arrow and Dolly, plus the Léon, a longtail assembled by hand in Belgium in a local, inclusive workshop. Bikes are delivered in electric vehicles, and accessories are made in France or elsewhere in Europe. A parent-friendly app lets subscribers track their bike and book a service or an emergency repair in three taps. WELGO is available in more than 50 cities in Europe, with a Belgian company based in Ixelles. It supports Planète Urgence, an NGO that protects forests and biodiversity, and has been covered by France Bleu and actu.fr.
