Polygones is a sustainability consultancy based in Liège. Its engineers and consultants measure your carbon footprint (Bilan Carbone® and GHG Protocol), run life cycle assessments, build your ESG strategy and prepare you for labels such as the CO2 Performance Ladder, EcoVadis or B Corp.
About Polygones
Polygones was founded in Liège in 2022 by Martin Huberland and Sébastien Morant. The team combines engineering and management profiles, with experience in both industry and consulting, and keeps a constant watch on tools, data and legislation. Its consultants are trained in the Bilan Carbone® method and the GHG Protocol, and an external specialist supports life cycle assessments. Polygones works with recognised methods such as Bilan Carbone®, the GHG Protocol, Circulab tools, SBTi and the Business Model Canvas. It has supported more than 100 clients, in food, construction, industry and services, from SMEs to a hospital group of 2,500 FTE. Since 2024 it has guided about fifteen companies of 50 to 800 FTE through the CO2 Performance Ladder certification. Polygones applies its own advice: it measured its 2023 footprint at 11 tonnes CO2e and publishes its consistencies and inconsistencies on its website. A stakeholder committee, with representatives of the planet, the sector, finance, partners and clients, follows its work.

What Polygones has delivered
EloyConstruction
Carbon footprints, climate strategy and certification for a construction group
Since 2020, Polygones has produced the carbon footprints of the Eloy group's entities and supported the roll-out of its climate strategy. It follows up the group's CO2 Performance Ladder certification and the CSC label for its concrete plants, takes part in specific projects and trains Eloy's teams on ESG.
Carbon footprints of the group's entities every year since 2020
Hôpitaux Iris Sud first consulted Polygones to understand what a carbon footprint involves, and awarded the mission a year later. Polygones measured the emissions of the group, with 2500 FTE, 4 sites and thousands of patients, then ran reduction workshops with the hospital teams. It is Polygones' largest carbon footprint reference.
After ESG and carbon footprint missions, Polygones worked with Cilyx and the engineering school HELMo Gramme on eco-design. Polygones supervised an intern who analysed the design office's development process and main environmental impacts, then built a decision tool in Excel. Two years later, Cilyx still uses it.
Polygones helps Wanty update its carbon footprints to meet its clients' requirements. The work prepares the company for the CO2 Performance Ladder certification and for Science Based Targets, in partnership with SLO.
Updated carbon footprints
Preparation for the CO2 Performance Ladder and SBTi
BC Materials makes earth blocks for the construction sector and needed to promote its products in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Polygones produced regulatory sheets based on life cycle assessment to the EN 15804 standard, adapted to each of the three markets.
LCA sheets to EN 15804 for Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands
Company footprint, product LCA and eco-design training
For Sobelcomp, Polygones carried out a Bilan Carbone® of the whole company and the life cycle assessment of one product. The project was led internally by an employee trained in the Bilan Carbone® method, who reviewed the work critically. The mission continued with eco-design training for the design office.
