Greentripper is a Brussels-based, B Corp certified climate partner for the travel sector. It gives tour operators, travel agencies and companies with a lot of business travel the tools and expert support to measure the carbon footprint of each trip and of the business itself, reduce it, and fund certified climate projects for the emissions that remain.
About Greentripper
Greentripper was founded in Brussels in December 2018 by Anne Robertz and Antoine Geerickx, who also founded the climate consultancy CO2logic, to keep travel possible while acting on its carbon footprint. The small team combines carbon accounting, Bilan Carbone® training, hands-on tourism experience and in-house software development. Greentripper counts more than 50 collaborations with tourism professionals, among them Connections, Uniglobe Belux Travel, Omnia Travel, Transunivers and Les voyages Léonard, and its tools run more than 1,500,000 travel impact calculations a year. Its partner climate projects have avoided or stored 101,459 tonnes of CO₂e. The company is B Corp certified, has signed the Glasgow Declaration and is a member of tourism networks such as UPAV, VVR, ATR, ATD and ETOA.

A company carbon footprint and a co-branded trip calculator for a French tour operator
Transunivers, a French tour operator, works with Greentripper on its 2023 carbon footprint and on the specific impact of the trips it sells, with the goal of reducing its footprint in the medium term. A co-branded Greentripper x Transunivers site lets travellers calculate the CO₂e of their transport and accommodation and support a certified climate project, or choose a double action: a carbon contribution plus a donation to an association working on waste, biodiversity or animal welfare. Transunivers also publishes the estimated impact per traveller, so clients see the order of magnitude before they leave.
Cutting and covering the emissions of a camper rental fleet
Since 2023, Belgian camper rental company Vanomobil has been lowering the emissions of its rental fleet: it keeps only the newest, most fuel-efficient models and rewards renters who drive less, with a voucher worth €0.15 per km for customers who stay below the 190 km/day average driven the year before. For the emissions that remain, the Greentripper tool calculates the contribution automatically at a fixed rate per camper type per day, and Vanomobil pays half of it. The money goes to a drinking water project in Rwanda chosen by Vanomobil.

Uniglobe Belux Travel offers its corporate clients trips whose emissions are calculated and covered through Greentripper. The agency uses the Greentripper calculator every day: it combines the Bilan Carbone® and DEFRA methods, takes radiative forcing into account, and reports direct CO₂ alongside CO₂-equivalent values for the other greenhouse gases. Clients who want to act on the emissions of their trips fund a Gold Standard efficient cookstove project in Ghana.

Les voyages Léonard, a network of travel agencies in Belgium, gives its clients access to the Greentripper tool to calculate the carbon footprint of their trips, compare the impact of different means of transport and contribute financially to climate projects. Contributions fund certified projects in developing countries, such as Gold Standard projects, as well as sustainable initiatives closer to home, and Greentripper's contribution activities are audited by Forum Ethibel.
