About Espaces-Mobilités
Espaces-Mobilités is a Belgian design office based in Brussels, run by EM & Partners, that has worked on mobility and public space for more than 30 years for public authorities, transport operators and companies. Its multidisciplinary team brings together mobility experts, landscape architects and urban planners. It covers eight fields: mobility, landscape architecture, change management, training, mobility data, 3D environments, media production and citizen engagement. The office led the production of Good Move, the Brussels regional mobility plan, for Brussels Mobility, worked on the new tram line 10 for STIB, and supported autonomous shuttle projects in Leuven for EIT Urban Mobility and in Louvain-la-Neuve with the city and TEC. For companies and institutions it builds accessibility and mobility plans, such as the one for CHIREC's new Delta hospital site. Its Maestromobile lab runs behaviour change programmes, its Mobility MasterClass offers advanced mobility training, and it designed and teaches the mobility adviser (CeM) course for the Walloon public service. The team also models projects in 3D and virtual reality, for example Namur's new pedestrian zone.
What Espaces-Mobilités has delivered
CHIRECHealthcare
An accessibility and mobility plan for a new hospital site
CHIREC needed an accessibility and mobility plan for its new hospital site at Delta. Espaces-Mobilités supported the hospital group and defined a set of mobility solutions based on the characteristics of the new site and of its staff.
Mobility solutions matched to the new site and its staff
Brussels Mobility needed a new regional mobility plan for the Brussels-Capital Region. Espaces-Mobilités led the production of Good Move: it designed the plan and ran a large number of co-creation workshops, in particular on Mobility as a Service (MaaS).
A regional mobility plan built through co-creation workshops
In the AMAM project, EIT Urban Mobility wanted to test autonomous shuttles in regular service. Espaces-Mobilités worked on the deployment of two WeRide autonomous shuttles on an existing bus line in Leuven city centre, in partnership with De Lijn, TEC, STIB, Brussels Mobility and the federal public service (FPS).
