About Eren Energy Storage Benelux
Eren Energy Storage Benelux was set up in February 2025 in Evere, Brussels, as a partnership between Belgian entrepreneurs and EREN Groupe, an international player in the energy transition. It installs, co-finances and manages industrial batteries for companies. The project grew out of renewable energy experience: co-founder Dieter De Schuymer, a civil engineer in electronics, founded AlterElectra in 2006 and carried out close to 2,500 solar installations, then co-founded go4green in 2013, a third-party investor in cogeneration and green heat and power that the Idex group bought in 2024. Benoit de Hollain brings ten years in renewable power and heat production. The team also includes business development, finance and commercial staff with backgrounds at companies such as Unilever, AB InBev, ExxonMobil and GSK. Eren handles each project from the initial site study to installation, quarter-hourly optimisation, monitoring and maintenance.
