Enthrust Energy was founded in 2021 in Zaventem and is an official technology partner of Icopower, a maker of voltage optimisation and power quality systems. From its head office in Zaventem it covers the Benelux, with Enthrust Energy Poland in Warsaw for Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and Enthrust Energy France SAS for south-west France. Its range covers ICO-F voltage optimisation, ICO-M micro-outage compensation, ICO-R power factor correction, ICO-FA harmonic filtering and battery storage, from 40 kVA to 3,000 kVA. Savings are measured with the IPMVP protocol and the VDE-AR-E 2055-1 formula, a method validated by the University of Trento, and greenhouse gas reductions are validated under ISO 14064-2:2019. More than 3,000 Icopower installations are in service, and the published results for 21 verified clients average 8.3% savings, up to 12.1%. References include ArcelorMittal, Sibelco Italia, Carrefour Italy, Decathlon, Kaufland, Hilton and Mercure hotels. 10% less energy in a sterile meat production plant
Salumificio Sfreddo, a premium meat producer, runs a sterile production facility where an electrical problem can stop a line or create a contamination risk. An Icopower ICO-F voltage optimiser was installed on the site's supply. It cut voltage fluctuations by 95%, removed contamination risks linked to electrical problems and eliminated power factor penalties, while hygiene standards stayed untouched.
8% savings on refrigeration running around the clock
Artic Freezing Docks, a large cold storage and logistics provider, runs refrigeration 24 hours a day and must hold its stores at a steady -25 °C. Icopower systems were deployed on its refrigeration installations. Compressors now run more efficiently, the temperature stays stable, and consumption is followed centrally on Schneider Electric Power Monitoring Expert.
ArcelorMittal needed lower energy costs on its production lines without putting the supply of arc furnaces and rolling mills at risk. Icopower voltage optimisation was rolled out across the lines, with ICO-M back-up against micro-outages and links to predictive maintenance. Power quality at the arc furnaces improved and the lines have had no unplanned stops caused by electrical problems.
