EnergyVision is a Belgian green-energy company that finances, installs and runs solar panels and EV chargers on business sites at no cost to you, then supplies the green power at a fixed rate for 10 to 30 years.
About EnergyVision
EnergyVision was founded in Ghent on 8 October 2014 by three friends, Maarten, Hassan and Koen, with the minimum capital of €6,200 and the idea of bringing as many people as possible into the energy transition. It started with solar and is now the Belgian market leader in solar panels, with thousands of its own installations across the country, which it completes with wind and hydro to supply 100% green, local electricity. For businesses it finances, installs and runs solar panels, EV charging infrastructure and batteries at no cost to the client, who pays a fixed tariff for the green power used. Today it counts more than 40,500 projects, over 1,159 MWp of PV and a little over 1.1 billion kWh a year, with 246 employees in five offices in Belgium, Morocco and China. Over four years it is equipping more than 50,000 social homes with solar panels for ASTER, the cooperative of the Flemish social housing sector. References include Hubo, KAA Gent, Ostend-Bruges Airport, Laroy Group and Ducadour. Greenpeace gave EnergyVision its highest rating in the 2025 green electricity supplier ranking (18 out of 20), Test Achats named it best in test among energy suppliers, and the company has been listed on Euronext Brussels since 9 July 2025.
What EnergyVision has delivered
DucadourBusiness park
More than 3,000 solar panels on a business complex in Dour
Ducadour wanted green, local power for its business complex in Dour without taking on the investment. EnergyVision installed more than 3,000 solar panels on the roofs, with a total capacity of 1,323 kWp. The installation produces 1,158 MWh of renewable electricity every year, cutting the site's energy costs and its environmental footprint.
Laroy Group wanted to strengthen its sustainability policy quickly. EnergyVision installed 3,790 panels with a total capacity of 1,648.65 kWp at its Ghent site in just four weeks. It is an injection project: the electricity goes straight into the grid, with about 1,484 MWh of output a year, and both partners benefit from it.
At Adventure Valley in Durbuy, EnergyVision built a solar car park with 2,480 panels producing 1.5 million kWh a year. The charging area has 4 DC and 20 AC charging points, all connected to the solar installation, so visitors charge their electric cars with solar power while they enjoy the park.
West Flanders' largest solar park, along the runway
EnergyVision is building the largest solar park in West Flanders along the runway of Ostend-Bruges Airport. By the end of January 2025, 41,000 panels were in place, the equivalent of 23 football pitches, with a final phase of 17,400 more panels to follow. Once fully operational, the park will supply affordable green power to the airport and to more than 10,000 households.
From a solar roof to 24 charging points at the Planet Group Arena
In 2021, KAA Gent and EnergyVision put 2,000 solar panels on the roof of the Planet Group Arena, producing 390,000 kWh of green power a year. Four years later the club took the next step with 24 public charging points, 2 of them fast chargers, plus new charging infrastructure at its training centre.
