About Ecodex
Ecodex calls itself the intelligence layer for carbon data. It was born from the Open Carbon Practice community of carbon accounting and LCA practitioners and from Plan Carbone Général, an open reference resource on carbon accounting, whose recurring need for reliable, comparable factors led to the product. The founders, Guillaume Colin and Axel Girard, describe it as the result of five years of accumulated expertise. Today Ecodex gives access to more than 1.3M harmonised emission factors from 65 referenced databases, in French and English, and adds descriptions in French, English and Spanish in its Connect datasets. Each source's licence is reviewed before integration, and licensed databases are never redistributed. Platform data is hosted in France, in the EU. Ecodex serves three groups: consulting firms, sustainability teams and software vendors who embed its data and engines. Clients include Carbon Cutter, Dcycle, Sorégies Group and Tennaxia.
