Resilio

Sustainable ITAdvisory & TrainingScope 3

Resilio is a Swiss sustainable IT company. Its Resilio Database gives life cycle data on IT equipment and cloud services, by web app or API, built to ISO 14040/44 and the EU PEF 3.0 method, and its Resilio Tech platform, consulting and training help organisations measure their IT footprint and plan reductions.

About Resilio

Resilio was founded in January 2022 in Lausanne, coming out of the EPFL Blaze accelerator, and is led by CEO Amaël Parreaux-Ey. Its articles of association state that the company does not aim to maximise profit. Resilio reached CHF 1 million in revenue in its first 12 months, opened a French branch in Bordeaux in March 2025 and acquired Greenoco, a platform that measures and reduces the footprint of websites, in June 2026. It worked with ADEME on the French Product Category Rules for information systems and for internet service providers, coordinates the naKnow research project funded by France 2030, and integrated ecoinvent into Resilio Database in February 2026, which now models more than 12,000 CPU and GPU references. Cloud providers Exoscale and Infomaniak, Eviden and the carbon data platform Ecodex use its data. Clients include LVMH, L'Occitane, RATP, ABB Motion, the City of Paris, ADEME and the European Commission. Resilio has been a certified B Corp since 2024 and Qualiopi certified for its training since 2023, and holds ISO 27001 certification and the Swiss Made Software label.

What Resilio has delivered

LVMHLuxury

An IT footprint for every LVMH Maison, the first 6 in under 3 months

Under its LIFE 360 strategy, LVMH aims to reduce the environmental footprint of all its activities, IT included. The group needed one tool to assess the IT footprint of each house: more than 17 Maisons, each with 5 or more perimeters, with clear actions to meet reduction targets. A first life cycle assessment on Resilio Tech covered 6 Maisons and set the baseline, with data collected in less than 3 months; 11 more Maisons were assessed the following year. Action plans are simulated to quantify the potential reduction, and internal benchmarks between Maisons help them share good practices.

L'OccitaneCosmetics

A worldwide IT footprint, measured twice to track progress

L'Occitane wanted to quantify the environmental impact of its information system at international level, build a Green IT roadmap, track the footprint over time and make its teams autonomous. The assessment covered more than 20 perimeters: offices, stores, warehouses and factories in several countries. A first life cycle assessment fed the Green IT roadmap, and a second one a year later measured how the footprint changed from 2021 to 2022. 20 teams now use Resilio Tech on their own, and action plan simulations help refine the roadmap.

Testing France's footprint rules for internet providers

Under article 13 of the French AGEC law, telecom operators must show the CO₂ emissions of their internet services on customer bills, following the Product Category Rules for internet service providers written by ADEME in 2021. From April to October 2023, Resilio worked with ADEME to test these rules: it built a life cycle model to ISO 14040/44 and delivered it to Orange, SFR / Iliad and Bouygues Telecom, then extrapolated the results to estimate the impact of the internet in France.

Helping the City of Paris comply with the REEN law

The French REEN law requires towns of more than 50,000 inhabitants to adopt a strategy for responsible digital use. Espelia, a Resilio partner, uses the Resilio platform and its maturity benchmarks to assess the footprint of the Paris city administration and build an action plan that brings the City in line with the law. Resilio's experts follow the mission and train the Espelia and City of Paris teams on the tools and on life cycle assessment methods.

The footprint of 10 everyday digital habits

Together with Ramboll, Resilio was commissioned to assess the environmental footprint of 10 day-to-day digital behaviours. Working closely with DG ENER and DG CNECT, the team built a simplified life cycle model and quantified the energy use and environmental impact of one hour of video streaming, videoconferencing, social gaming, music streaming and social networking, storing 1 GB in the cloud, downloading data from the cloud, switching off a router for two weeks, extending the life of a smartphone, and writing, sending and reading an email with an attachment.
