Circular IT group helps organisations buy, deploy, manage and replace their laptops, servers and network equipment so each device stays in use for longer, then erases, refurbishes, resells, donates or recycles it at the end of its life. Its Kontich site near Antwerp serves customers in Belgium.
About Circular IT Group
Circular IT group was formed in 2022 by bringing together specialist IT companies, some of them active since the 1990s, such as Re-Tek, CTG Circular, Cirres, Maxicom and IRENT. The group now counts more than 310 specialists at four regional service centres, 20,000 m² of warehouse space and over 10,000 B2B customers, and processes more than 1.2 million IT devices a year for over 10,000 organisations, including more than 90 multinationals. In Belgium the team works from a 5,500 m² site in Kontich, opened in 2025, with capacity for 300,000 IT assets a year and more than 3,500 m² of solar panels. The Belgian operation, CTG Circular BV, has been a certified B Corp since 2023 with a B Impact score of 84.6. The group holds ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001 and WEEELABEX certifications, delivers ITAD in more than 90 countries, and works with Close the Gap, Digital for Youth and its own ITdonations Foundation to give reused devices to people who lack them.

What Circular IT Group has delivered
AssuraliaInsurance
Turning insurers' retired laptops into digital access for young people
Assuralia, the Belgian federation of insurers, wanted its members to reuse decommissioned laptops instead of treating them as waste, without any compromise on data protection. Circular IT group acts as the ITAD partner: it collects the hardware, wipes it securely with certified, auditable processing and prepares it for Digital for Youth, which passes the laptops to schools and youth organisations in Belgium such as CoderDojo. The reporting links devices, emission savings and social outcomes, which feeds the members' CSRD scope 3 reporting. In December 2025 Assuralia handed over Digital for Youth's 28,000th laptop.
Running workplace IT for 3,800 healthcare employees
Pro Persona, a Dutch provider of mental health and psychiatric care, faced late laptop deliveries, slow replacements and a growing backlog of retired equipment. With Circular IT group it chose hardware based on how staff work (portability, battery life, Teams performance, ease of management), which led to Microsoft Surface devices on ARM. Devices are now prepared and delivered straight to employees at home or at work, with the aim of a device or replacement anywhere in the Netherlands within one to two working days. Pro Persona's IT team no longer handles the physical logistics, and retired equipment is collected and processed for reuse. Participants of Pro Persona's Zin! day programme also dismantle electronic shelf labels for Circular IT group, a paid circular task.
European telecom operator (name not published)Telecommunications
Decommissioning live telecom equipment across 150+ European sites
What started as a request for two telecommunications sites grew into one of Circular IT group's largest decommissioning projects, running since November 2025 from London to Sicily and from Amsterdam to Vienna. Many systems were still live and fully cabled, and sites expected to hold 1 to 5 racks held up to 40. Qualified engineers powered down equipment, removed cabling and dismantled racks, sometimes while new infrastructure was being installed in the same racks. Every commercially committed asset was wiped, serialised, palletised and prepared for international shipment within strict deadlines, under ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001 and WEEELABEX certified processes, with a fully auditable chain of custody.
Securely reusing corporate laptops for a youth employability programme
Mace Construct, a London-based construction company, has used Circular IT group for ITAD, laptop reuse and lifecycle management for more than 10 years to manage retired IT while working towards its carbon reduction targets. When Mace wanted to give used corporate laptops to the Mace Foundation, the devices still held company data. Circular IT group erased every laptop with Blancco, checked and prepared it for further use, and transferred it to the foundation's Constructing Your Success programme, which helps young care leavers explore careers in construction and the built environment.

Giving the value of retired IT to a mental health charity
firmus energy supplies natural gas to more than 125,000 homes and businesses in Belfast and the Ten Towns network in Northern Ireland. It needed to retire IT equipment with a zero-compromise approach to data and a clean audit trail. Circular IT group collected and processed the equipment with documented evidence at every step. Instead of taking the financial return from the recovered hardware, firmus energy chose to give it to Action Mental Health, which supports people with mental health needs or a learning disability in Northern Ireland.

“Het mes snijdt aan twee kanten. We geven uiteindelijk minder uit en we doen echt iets goeds voor een betere wereld.”
Gidi Bullens,ICT Manager, Pro Persona
“Our presence alongside Digital for Youth at the handover of the 28,000th laptop makes it clear that the efforts of the insurers, like those of the other donating companies, are making a real and concrete difference for the new users of the IT equipment.”
Hein Lannoy,CEO, Assuralia
“Thank you, Circular IT group, for your generous donation of 24 laptops. This support will enable more young people to access King's Trust programmes, removing a significant barrier to participation and helping them take their first steps towards sustainable employment and a brighter future.”
Mathilde Fell,Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, The King's Trust
