Liege Container Terminal

Liege Container Terminal

LogisticsScope 3

DP World Liège Container Terminals runs two inland container terminals in Liège, connected by barge and rail to Antwerp, Rotterdam and Zeebrugge. Shippers move their containers by river or train instead of by road for most of the journey, with about 50% less CO2.

About Liege Container Terminal

Liège Container Terminal was the first inland container terminal to start operations, in 1990, and it remains the main container terminal in southern Belgium. It operates two sites in Liège: Terminal South in Angleur and Terminal North at Trilogiport in Hermalle-sous-Argenteau, with its headquarters in Angleur. Since 2018 it has worked in partnership with DP World, which widened its network and scope of operations, and it now trades as DP World Liège Container Terminals. It serves shippers, forwarders, shipping lines and road hauliers, and is a depot for several major shipping lines. Its location makes it a natural base for deliveries in the area where Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet. The company is AEO certified and a member of the HAKKA hub. It describes its way of working through family values: stability, respect, excellence, teamwork and a long-term view.
