Webinar | Moving towards low-carbon events

How to make events more sustainable?

Webinar – Tuesday 17 June – 11:00-12:00

Sustainability has become essential in the events world, but making real progress isn’t always easy. Between limited budgets, audience expectations, and practical challenges on the ground, there’s often a gap between what we’d like to do and what’s possible.

Join us for a panel discussion with event professionals who are actively working to reduce the environmental footprint of events while maintaining their value.

We’ll explore:

  • Mobility: one of the he biggest source of emissions, what needs to change?
  • Waste: What’s realistically achievable on-site?
  • Energy and logistics: How to manage the footprint of temporary setups.
  • The unavoidable: How to deal honestly with what can’t be reduced.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Driving impact beyond direct control.
  • Audience expectations: How shifting demands are shaping event design.

Speakers:

  • Nathalie Tilmant: Event Supervisor at visit.brussels, will explain how sustainability is integrated into its events, with a particular focus on Bright Brussels.
  • Alessio Porcelli: Event organiser at Couleur Café, will share how the festival is taking care of its carbon footprint, with a focus on how they’re working on travel for visitors and artists, and on the impact of food and drink.
  • Léa Gillain: Impact Officer at the event agency Profirst, will talk about the evolution of the industry and present how Profirst is working to strengthen the social and environmental performance of their productions.
  • Marion Loiseau: Partnerships Developer at Tapio, will moderate the session.
