Junior UX Designer

We are a climate tech start-up located at the heart of Brussels, looking for a creative and independent junior UX designer to join our product team.

What you’ll do in a few words

Tapio’s team is growing fast, and our strategic initiatives, business operations, and revenue management continue to evolve as we do. You’ll be supervised and trained by our Product designer, and after having partaken in our internal product boot camp, you’ll work on the following missions:

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, mock-ups and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively. 
  • Iterate designs based on feedback, data analysis, and usability testing results.
  • Work closely with product development, marketing and product management teams to ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience.
  • Help maintain design systems and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
  • Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.


We are looking for 

Awareness and sensitivity to climate issues, motivation, proactivity, creativity, rigour, ownership, and tech-enthusiast. We are looking for someone eager to learn more, autonomous, and able to take initiative.

Our ideal candidate: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in (UX) Design or related field
  • Experience in a similar role (6 months, personal or professional project)
  • Shows a strong foundation in UX design principles and methodologies with a genuine desire to excel, demonstrating openness to feedback and coaching to improve and evolve continuously.
  • Proficiency with Figma
  • Communication skills in English and French
  • A collaborative and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Education/experience related to the job offer’s field
  • Endless learner, eager to keep track of state-of-the-art technology
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) – French or Dutch is a plus
  • Are familiar with the processes of calculating and reducing greenhouse gas emissions: carbon report (GHG protocol), Life Cycle Assessment (Simapro or other), SBTs, … 
  • Sensibility to climate issues, motivation, proactivity, creativity, rigour, ownership and enthusiasm. 
  • Open-minded and with a great sense of humour
