What you’ll do in a few words

As a Frontend React Developer, you will play a key role in developing and improving our carbon management applications. Within a fast-growing startup helping companies manage their carbon emissions, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the full development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, focusing on creating performant and intuitive user interfaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Frontend Development: Design and develop new user features using ReactJS and TypeScript. Create reusable components optimized for maximum performance. Implement state management solutions (Redux, React Query) and efficiently manage client-side caching.
  • Integration and Design: Transform mockups and wireframes into high-quality code. Ensure a smooth and consistent user experience across the application. Implement responsive and accessible interfaces. Work with design systems and maintain visual consistency.
  • Performance and Optimization: Optimize application performance (loading times, First Contentful Paint, Time to Interactive). Implement code splitting, lazy loading, and optimize React renders. Implement PWA strategies when necessary.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with backend and design teams. Participate in code reviews and technical planning sessions. Document components with Storybook. Contribute to defining frontend development standards.
  • Testing and Quality: Set up and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, E2E) to ensure feature reliability. Follow development best practices and quality standards. Participate in frontend continuous integration setup.
  • Innovation and Technology Watch: Stay informed about latest frontend development trends. Propose and implement technical improvements to optimize the application. Participate in progressive technology migrations when relevant.

We are looking for

Awareness and sensitivity to climate issues, motivation, proactivity, excellence, rigor, ownership, and tech-enthusiast. We are looking for someone eager to learn more, autonomous, and able to take initiative.

  • Strong frontend development skills with significant experience in creating applications using React and associated frameworks;
  • Mastery of relational and non-relational databases;
  • Good understanding of testing principles and code quality;
  • Knowledge of performance and optimization concepts;
  • Familiarity with security protocols and authentication frameworks;
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with other members of the development team.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Minimum 4 years of frontend development experience with excellent JavaScript, TypeScript and ReactJS skills
  • Strong experience with modern CSS (Tailwind, CSS Modules)
  • Proficiency with state management tools (Redux, React Query)
  • Experience with frontend testing and continuous integration
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs
  • Mastery of versioning tools (Git) and collaborative workflows
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Sensitivity to web accessibility and performance best practices

Bonus points for:

  • Mastery of documentation tools (Storybook, JSDoc)
  • Experience with advanced frontend testing (Testing Library, Cypress)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD principles and associated tools
  • Experience with frontend monitoring solutions (Sentry, LogRocket)
  • Knowledge of Python and backend ecosystem
  • Experience in developing complex business applications
  • Contributions to open source projects
